Intro to Music Theory & Harmony

March 20 to April 24
Teacher, Nic Estrela, will unlock the mysteries of music harmony and theory during this 6-week course. You’ll learn to read, write and communicate music the right way. Nic will lead you on a multi-media exploration of the building blocks of music. Together, you’ll explore musically and historically significant recordings, videos and music transcriptions. This is your chance to learn very important information to support your playing!

Course requirements:  No prior music experience is necessary, just an interest in getting a comprehensive introduction to the foundations of music. You will be provided with a notebook, staff paper and special writing utensils.
Wednesdays 6:30 to 7:30

Music Theory & Harmony II

Are you looking to expand your music vocabulary? Looking to learn university level music theory without the large price tag attached?

Rick’ Music is offering an intermediate level Harmony and Theory class for the person wanting to expand their theory knowledge beyond beginner concepts. With Berklee grad, Nicholas Estrela, the class will focus on the building of chords, analyzation of music charts, useful scales in the realms of jazz, rock, blues, etc…The class is designed around the same class offered at Berklee College of Music and is great for people aged 14 to adult and for any musician always searching for more experience to expand their art.

These class materials will be provided free of charge:  workbook, notebook, pencil and staff paper
